[cnxvideo id=”655384″ placement=”ros”]For those on a budget or with many people on their holiday shopping list, most of this season’s hottest tech gifts might seem too expensive. The latest iPhones, Samsung Galaxies, laptops, and video game consoles cost hundreds, if not thousands of dollars.

The good news is that there are actually a number of cheaper tech items on the market this year. Some of these exciting, quality items are less-expensive versions of big brand name products, but most are manufactured by businesses like Apple, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and Samsung.

Many of this year’s hot products include headphones, portable speakers, smart hubs and speakers, and streaming devices that cost well under $100. This includes the latest generation of the Amazon Echo and Echo Dot, the new Google Home Mini, the Kindle Fire, and streaming devices like Amazon’s Fire TV Stick and the Roku Streaming Stick.

Some products on this cost over $100 new, but refurbished versions of these items can be purchased for those on a budget. The new Kindle Paperwhite e-reader costs $119.99 on Amazon, but a refurbished version is available on the site for $99.99.

24/7 Wall St. reviewed a number of third-party sources, as well as Amazon.com’s section of items commonly bought as gifts, to identify hundreds of tech gifts projected to be popular this holiday season that cost under $100. Using Google’s Keyword Planner, we identified the search terms projected to be most popular from November 15 through December 25 in order to narrow the list to the 50 most popular items.
