Walmart plans to host parties at its stores this holiday season to lure in customers. These parties are yet another incentive by the world’s largest retailer to encourage shoppers to pick its stores for all their gifting needs.
Another way the retailer hopes to drive people to its thousands of stores, and to its website, is by offering a number of deals on high-demand tech products. Currently, Walmart has relatively current and in-demand tech gifts on sale for 15%, 25%, and even 50% in a few cases.
Products by the biggest names in tech — including Apple, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Samsung, Nintendo, and Sony — are on sale in stores and at Walmart.com. Customers with different needs and tastes can find deals on tech gifts at Walmart. They range in price from high-end items like laptops and televisions, to mid-range electronics like smart home devices and speakers, to much less expensive items that can be bought for less than $50 like streaming devices and e-readers. The most expensive item on this list has a final price of nearly $1,900, while the cheapest costs just $30.
24/7 Wall St. reviewed a number of third-party sources, as well as Amazon.com’s section of items commonly bought as gifts, to identify hundreds of tech gifts projected to be popular this holiday season. Using Google’s Keyword Planner, we identified the search terms that Google projects will be most popular from December 11 through December 25. We then identified the largest discounts for each item offered at a major retailers. All deals listed are as of 12/15/2017.
