Television programming is constantly changing, fed by a seemingly endless flow of human talent. While many TV personalities may make a few notable appearances before fading away — or any many cases not attract any attention at all — some stick around for years, appearing on numerous hit shows and making countless guest spots on other programs.

The most loved TV personalities do just that. These talk show hosts, news anchors, and reality stars have won favor with the public, who desire to watch them year after year.

24/7 Tempo has identified America’s most loved TV personalities based on Facebook likes, Wikipedia page views, and the number of professional awards won, such as Emmy awards.

Some of the most loved TV personalities have had storied on-air careers, starring on many different shows. Steve Harvey has progressed from stand-up comedian to sitcom star to game show host. Gordon Ramsay, while always working in the reality TV format, has been the host of more than a few different cooking shows. Some of these have been exceptionally popular and received Emmy nominations. These are the TV shows with the most Emmy wins of all time.

Other stars are primarily known and attract a following for one program. Alex Trebek is loved for his long tenure as host of “Jeopardy!” Oprah Winfrey, while highly successful on many fronts, is still best known for “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” This program, which ran for 25 years, helped make Oprah — who will be turning 66 years old on Jan. 29 — one of the most powerful women in entertainment.
