Can You Answer These Real Jeopardy! Questions About the US Population?
Published:
“Jeopardy!” premiered as a daytime TV show in 1964 and since then it has become one of the most beloved primetime and game shows ever. In the game, three contestants duke it out answering trivia questions in such standard categories as science, as well as some really random ones like “Fictional Boyfriends.”
Several “Jeopardy!” categories contain questions about the U.S. population. Most people know that the population totals nearly 330 million, but it’s not evenly spread. Do you know which states have a population density of 1 person per square mile or what county has the largest minority population?
24/7 Tempo went through J! Archives — a site created by fans of the show that lists clues going back to 1984 — to find out those and other real clues about the country’s citizens.
“Jeopardy!” is different than other game shows by way of an unconventional approach. The answers, or clues, are presented to contestants, and they have to answer in the form of a question.
Wonder how you’d rate on the game show? Take the following pop quiz and see how you stack up. You can test your knowledge in another area — U.S. states: Here are 50 real “Jeopardy!” questions about each state.

If you’re like many Americans and keep your money ‘safe’ in a checking or savings account, think again. The average yield on a savings account is a paltry .4% today, and inflation is much higher. Checking accounts are even worse.
Every day you don’t move to a high-yield savings account that beats inflation, you lose more and more value.
But there is good news. To win qualified customers, some accounts are paying 9-10x this national average. That’s an incredible way to keep your money safe, and get paid at the same time. Our top pick for high yield savings accounts includes other one time cash bonuses, and is FDIC insured.
