Apple’s long notification nightmare is over (video)

For 18 hours, Apple punished 1.5 million iOS 12 public beta users for their participation.

 

For those who missed it, Apple’s iOS update face-plant was memorialized by song-a-day musician Jonathan Mann:

My take: Mark Gurman had the best tweet. The Verge has the best write-up. Developer Guilherme Rambo spotted the cause (a date-calculation bug). The iOS update released Friday morning put an end to it, without (so far) a peep from Apple.
