The evidence keeps mounting that competing with the Apple (AAPL) iPhone is a losing game.
According to the new JD Power survey of customer satisfaction among smartphone owners, the iPhone beat competition from LG, HTC, Palm (PALM), RIM (RIMM) maker of the Blackberry, and Motorola (MOT). Motorola finished dead last. The only category in which the iPhone was bested was battery function.
Among traditional handsets, LG finished first ahead of Motorola, Nokia (NOK), Samsung, Sanyo, Kyocera, and Sony Ericsson.
