Apple (AAPL) iPhone Bests Palm (PALM) Pre

applePre sales have to keep a very brisk pace for Palm (PALM) to continue its turnaround. Many experts believe that consumers will make a decision to buy the Pre in lieu of the Apple (AAPL) iPhone or RIM (RIMM) Blackberry. New data from Consumer Reports shows that the Pre may be a tough sell In its latest survey of smartphones, CR gave its highest ratings to the Apple iPhone 3G S model. An older version of the phone was in second place, followed by the products from Samsung and RIM. The Pre ranked No.8.

Palm is going to have to to better than that to catch the two industry leaders.
