Apple iPad 3 Will Have 4G

The news Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) iPad 3 will be released in March, according to several media reports. The machine will likely connect to super fast 4G LTE networks. These are being deployed by Verizon Wireless and AT&T Wireless (NYSE: T). Apple has lagged behind several of its competitors which are led by Samsung, in terms of 4G enabled devices. Samsung and other 4G products run the Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) Android OS, the only real competition to the Apple mobile operating system.

The iPhone still does not have 4G capacity and it is not clear when that might happen. But, as more wireless firms use 4G as their flagship product, Apple loses ground in the sector.

It is also rumored that the iPad 3 will have a high definition screen and quad-core processor to give it more computing power than its predecessors
