Markets in Europe were broadly lower at 6.10 AM.

The FTSE fell .8% to 6,150. Barclays was down 1% to 757.5. BP was down 1.1% to 528.5. BT was down 1.5% to 315.75. GlaxoSmithKline was down .1% to 1358. Prudential was down 1.3% to 719. Reuters was off 2.1% to 431. Unliever was down .6% to 1389. Vodafone was down 2% to 1465.

The DAXX was off 1.1% to 6,542. Bayer was flat at 40.2. Daimler was down 1.7% to 4615. DeutscheBank was down 1.4% to 100.63. Deutsche Telekom was down 1.1% to 14.52. Siemens was down 1% to 76.02.

The CAC 40 fell .9% to 5,483. Alcatel/Lucent was down 2.3% to 11.27. AXA was down 1.4% to 31.23. France Telecom was down 2.1% to 21.78. ST Micro was up .3% to 14.58. Vivendi was down .9% to 30.82.
