Berkshire Hathaway’s latest stock holdings were released after the close of trading and the Oracle of Omaha’s portfolio managers made a couple of changes. The two new positions were in Da Vita Inc. (NYSE: DVA) and in Liberty Media Corporation (NASDAQ: LMCA), while Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE: XOM) was sold out of entirely.
Da Vita Inc. (NYSE: DVA), the dialysis services provider, was listed as a new position of 2.684 million shares worth roughly $203 million. What is interesting is that this was a prior position of Ted Weschler but we did not expect any of his ‘favorites’ to appear in the holdings for another quarter. Liberty Media Corporation (NASDAQ: LMCA) was also listed as a new position of about 1.7 million shares worth some $132.7 million.
Exxon Mobil Corp. (NYSE: XOM) was previously listed as a small position a quarter earlier of only about 421,000 shares, but this one has been ejected from the Berkshire Hathaway portfolio. This one was always so small that it did not make much sense even if we think this is the one that Mr. Buffett should have owned in the first place.
The FULL BERKSHIRE HATHAWAY & BUFFETT HOLDINGS show the changes in each position for stocks added or lightened up, as well as which positions were left the same.
