Guess, Anthera Pharmaceuticals Dive into Thursday’s 52-Week Low Club

Guess Inc. (NYSE: GES) posted a new 52-week low of $10.33 on Thursday, down about 15.5% compared with Wednesday’s closing price of $12.23. The stock’s 52-week high is $19.45. Volume was more than 7 times the daily average of around 1.3 million shares. The apparel maker missed quarterly estimates and the outlook for improvement is murky at best.

Anthera Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ: ANTH) dropped about 11% Thursday, to post a new 52-week low of $0.40 after closing at $0.45 on Wednesday. The stock’s 52-week high is $4.41. Volume was about 20% above the daily average of around 2.3 million shares. The company had no specific news.

Walter Investment Management Corp. (NYSE: WAC) dropped about 45% Thursday, to post a new 52-week low of $0.85 after closing at $1.55 on Wednesday. The stock’s 52-week high is $8.51. Volume was more 5 times the daily average of around 415,000 shares. The company had no specific news.

Rentech Inc. (NASDAQ: RTK) dropped nearly 26% Thursday to post a new 52-week low of $0.55 after closing Wednesday at $0.74. Volume of more than 2.6 million shares was about 5 times the daily average of around 500,000. The company reported preliminary results this morning and there was no good news to be found.
