CyberArk, Williams-Sonoma Dive into Friday’s 52-Week Low Club

July 14, 2017: Here are four stocks trading with heavy volume among 49 equities making new 52-week lows in Friday’s session. On the NYSE, advancers led decliners by about 7 to 3 and on the Nasdaq, advancers led decliners by about 4 to 3.

CyberArk Software Ltd. (NASDAQ: CYBR) dropped about 19% Friday to post a new 52-week  low of $41.32 after closing Thursday at $51.00. The 52-week high is $59.28. Volume was around 11 million shares traded, nearly 20 times the daily average of around 675,000. The released disappointing preliminary second-quarter results this morning.

Acacia Communications Inc. (NASDAQ: ACIA) dropped about 6.6% Friday to post a new 52-week low of $38.88 after closing at $41.62 on Thursday. Volume was about 3.2 million, about 3 times the daily average of around 1.1 million shares. The company also released disappointing preliminary second-quarter numbers.

Consolidated Communications Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: CNSL) posted a new 52-week low of $17.75 on Friday, down about 3.6% compared with Thursday’s closing price of $18.42. The stock’s 52-week high is $30.23. Volume totaled around 2.7 million shares, about 5 times the daily average. The company had no specific news Friday.

Williams-Sonoma Inc. (NYSE: WSM) dropped about 2.9% Friday to post a new 52-week low of $45.08 after closing at $46.43 on Thursday. The stock’s 52-week high is $57.40. Volume of about 1.2 million was less than 10% below the daily average of around 1.7 million. An analyst from Barclays warned this afternoon that the company could become another casualty in the struggle against Amazon.
