January 31, 2018: Here are four stocks trading with heavy volume among 116 equities making new 52-week lows in Wednesday’s session. On the NYSE advancers led decliners by about 8 to 7 and on the Nasdaq, advancers led decliners by almost 4 to 3.

Southwestern Energy Co. (NYSE: SWN) traded down 12.4% Wednesday and posted a new 52-week low of $4.16 after closing Tuesday at $4.75. The stock’s 52-week high is $9.75. Volume was over 30 million, about 35% above the daily average of around 22.2 million shares. The company had no specific news.

Gulfport Energy Corp. (NASDAQ: GPOR) traded down about 8.2% Wednesday and posted a new 52-week low of $10.14 after closing Tuesday at $11.04. The stock’s 52-week high is $21.50. Volume was nearly 11 million, nearly three times the daily average of about 3.7 million shares. The company had no specific news but announced its capital budget and a stock repurchase program after markets closed Monday.
