According to Reuters, Toyota plans to product 9.42 million cars in 2007, which should take it past GM as the world’s largest car maker.

Reuters writes that Qualcomm has lowered its earnings forecast due to higher litigation costs and delayed customer orders.

Reuters writes that a Texas judge has entered an $8.7 million verdict against Merck in a Vioxx case.

The Wall Street Journal writes that Ford’s fate rest on plans to restructure the car company though 2009. The paper calls the plan "gut wrenching".

The WSJ writes that US Airways claims that Delta’s valuation of itself is inflated. US Air is trying to take over its rival.

The NY Times writes that Research In Motion profits rose sharply and beat forecasts.

The NYT also writes that Conagra earning rose 44%.

The FT writes that software company RedHat’s profits rose and the stock moved up 12% after hours.

Barron’s writes that a group lead by Vodafone may bid for one of the largest wireless companies in India.
