Football Season Arrives Early: Madden NFL 15 Has Arrived

Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: EA) is starting football season early this year. At least it is with its annual NFL video game release. The company has now officially launched Madden NFL 15 on Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.

Madden NFL 15 is said to have a new arsenal of defensive pass rush moves, new tackling mechanics and also a new and improved play-calling system. It also claims to have the most impressive visuals in franchise history. Madden NFL 15 was developed by EA Tiburon.

Also launched is Madden Mobile, which is now available for free on the App Store and Google Play. The company said that it also has a version of Madden NFL 15 available for the older Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 systems.

This may be more product news than breaking stock news, but this is one of those game franchises that appeals to all ages of gamers and has historically been a strong franchise. Shares of Electronic Arts closed at $37.62 on Monday against a 52-week range of $20.47 to $38.64. Its consensus analyst price target was $41.79.

The improvements extend beyond gameplay, with new game day presentation that tells the story of your matchup, including new pregame and halftime shows with highlights, commentary and analysis. Fans can also utilize the enhanced Skills Trainer mode to not only improve their mastery of Madden NFL 15, but also learn basic football concepts.
