The F-15 Eagle has been a vital asset for the United States and its allies, providing air superiority for several decades. As the primary fighter jet for the U.S., the F-15 can detect enemy aircraft from far away and accelerate quickly. Its low wing loading allows for exceptional maneuverability, and with a twin-engine system, it can reach speeds of Mach 2.5. The F-15’s mix of speed, firepower, and advanced tech has made it a highly desirable fighter jet in modern air warfare. (These are the world’s future military aircraft.)

To identify the countries with the most F-15 Eagle fighter jets, 24/7 Wall St. reviewed the 2024 World Air Forces report from FlightGlobal, an aviation and aerospace industry publication. We ranked these countries according to the number of F-15 jets in their military. We included supplemental information regarding active F-15s in respective fleets, military branches that will be using these aircraft, and what variants of the F-15 are on order or are currently in service.

Additionally, its success has paved the way for the development of more advanced fighter jets, ensuring continued technological advancement in military aviation and strengthening the defense capabilities of the United States and its allies.
