Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) is back with some dirt cheap offers in smartphones, and some of these may seem to be good to be true. While this may include Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE: VZ), AT&T Inc. (NYSE: T), and Sprint Nextel Corporation (NYSE: S), you will notice that there is not a single Apple Inc. (NYSE: AAPL) mention. That is simple to explain: the iPhone is being targeted here and it looks like just about every one of these is an Android platform from Google Inc. (NASDAQ: GOOG).
The online mega-sales giant is offering these (and other) smartphones for as little as $0.01 for the phone (and yes, there are likely asterisks if you already have a phone and an existing plan):
- HTC ThunderBolt 4G Android Phone (Verizon Wireless)
- Motorola DROID X2 Android Phone (Verizon Wireless)
