Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (NYSE: WMT) is doing some spring cleaning of its own, clearing out hundreds of items at some very attractive prices. Many come with free shipping or free store pickup as well.
Taking a look at some consumer electronics items first, the world’s largest retailer is selling an Apple iPad Air 32 gigabyte (GB) with Wi-Fi capability for $349, a discount of $100 from the regular price. Free value shipping is available as is free store pickup.
An Xbox One with 500 GB of memory and the “Gears of War Special Edition” is offered for $299, a $50 discount to the regular price of $349. Free value shipping or store pickup as well.
Some big-screen TVs are also on clearance. For example, a 43-inch Vizio 1080p LED smart TV (E43-C2) is on sale for $479. The same TV is selling for $350 at Best Buy, while Amazon is advertising the 2015 model of the same number for $348. Costco advertises the 2015 model for $340. Neither Wal-Mart nor Best Buy specifies a model year.
For the kids, an Airzone eight-foot Trampoline combo in blue for $139, a savings of $170 from the regular price of $309. The trampoline comes with a netting enclosure and value shipping or store pickup is free.
One last item: a Summer Escapes 12-foot quick-set ring pool with a pump and GFCI power protection is on sale for $59.00, a savings 16% from the regular price. The above-ground pool comes with a filter cartridge and inflatable top ring and the usual delivery options.
