Black Friday sales prices at Best Buy Co. Inc. (NYSE: BBY) typically attract a lot of shoppers willing to digest their Thanksgiving dinner on the move instead of on the couch. This year the store will open at 5:00 p.m. local time and sales prices will be good through Saturday.
To try to cash in on early birds, Best Buy has just announced its “Beat the Black Friday Rush” sale and is offering selected items at the Black Friday price in addition to other “Beat the Rush” deals. These deals are available only in limited quantities and no rain checks will be given. The deals are good through November 19 or until quantities are sold out.
Among Thursday’s early Black Friday deals is a Samsung 2.1-channel soundbar system with a wireless subwoofer (model #HW-K450/ZA) for $147.99, a savings of 47% ($132.00) from the regular price of $279.99. Open-box pricing begins at $103.99. Standard shipping is free.
A top “Beat the Rush” deal is available on a Samsung 48-inch LED 1080p smart HDTV (model #UN48J5201AFXZA) for $279.99, a savings of 44% ($220) off the regular price of $499.99. Standard shipping is free if you buy online.
Another “Beat the Rush” deal is a Lenovo Yoga 2 11.2-inch touchscreen laptop with Intel Core i3 processor, 4 GB of memory, and a 500 GB hard drive (model #59446360) for $249.99, a savings of 37.5% ($150) off the regular price of $399.99. This item is not available online, and it may not be available in all stores.
Best Buy is also offering Black Friday discounts of as much as 40% on selected appliances. For example, a Whirlpool 24.8-cubic foot French door refrigerator in stainless steel (model #WRF535SMBM) is on sale for $999.99, a savings of 41% ($700) off the regular price of $1,699.99. Delivery is free in most areas.
