The official announcement of the much-delayed wireless AirPods case landed 20 minutes later.

Press release: AirPods, the world’s most popular wireless headphones, are getting even better

Cook’s fastest follower on Twitter, Not Jony Ives, was not impressed: “Try drawing up the release of AirPower.”

My take: Apple is getting all the spring hardware announcements out of the way, and having a little fun doing it. As for voice-activated Siri on the AirPods? Meh. At least until Siri gets better.
