Asia Markets 11/20/2006 Toyota Falls Sharply, China Unicom Up

Markets in Asia fell sharply.

The Nikkei was down 2.3% to 15,726. Bridgestone was off 2.8% to 2445. Canon was down 3% to 6120. Daiwa Securities was down 3.2% to 1223. Fuji Film was down 1.1% to 4540. Hitachi was down 3% to 686. Mazda was down 3.4% to 790. NTT was down 1.7% to 563000. NEC was off 3.5% to 583. Sharp was off 1.5% to 2000. Sony was off .8% to 4730. Softbank was off 3.8% to 2160. Toshiba was off 3% to 709. Toyota was off 4.1% to 6960. Yahoo Japan was down .4% to 40050.

The Hang Seng fell 1.2% to 18,955. Cathay Pacific was down 3.2% to 18.38. China Mobile was down 2.7% to 66.8. China Unicom was up 2.8% to 8.47. HSBC was down .9% to 145.9. PCCW was down 2.7% to 5.09.

The KOSPI was down .7% to 1,402.

The Straits Times was down 1.5% to 2,771.

The Shanghai Composite was up 2.3% to 2,017.
