Asian markets were off.

The Nikkei fell .8% to 17,255. Bridgestone fell 1.5% to 2365. Canon fell .9% to 6410. Fuji Film was flat at 4860. Hitachi was up .8% to 910. Honda was down 2.4% to 4100. NEC was flat at 616. NTT was flat at 604000. Docomo was down .9% to 213000. Sharp was down .4% to 2280. Softbank was down 1.3% to 3030. Sony was down 2.1% to 6090. Toshiba was down 1.4% to 778. Toyota was down 1.4% to 7620. Yahoo Japan was up .4% to 40800.

The Hang Seng was down .9% to 19,534. Cathay Pacific was down 2.2% to 19.74. China Mobile was down 1.6% to 69.45. China Netcom was up 2.6% to 19.16. China Unicom was up 1.9% to 10.86. HSBC was down 1.1% to 136.5. PCCW was up .2% to 4.72.

The KOSPI was down .9% to 1,440.

The Straits Times was down 1% to 3,201.

The Shanghai Composite was up 1.1% to 3,173.
