Europe markets were up sharply at 5.45 AM New York time.

The FTSE rose .8% to 6,240. Barclays was up 1% to 737. British Airways was up 1.6% to 529. BP was up .7% to 575.5 BT was up .4% to 310.25. Diageo was up 2.3% to 1006.5. GlaxoSmithKline was up .5% to 1346. Reuters was up .3% to 428. Prudential was up .2% to 708. Vodafone was up .2% to 142.25. Unilever was up .1% to 1418.

The DAXX rose 1.2% to 6,582. Bayer was up 1.3% to 40.8. BWM was up 2.2% to 43.5. DaimlerChysler was up 1.8% to 46.91. DeutscheBank was up 1% to 101.28. Deutsche Telekom was up .7% to 13.82. Siemens was up 1.5% to 73.89.

The CAC 40 rose 1.1% to 5,514. Alcatel Lucent rose 1.1% to 10.9 AXA was up 2% to 30.73. France Telecom was up 1.1% to 20.94. ST Micro was up .6% to 14.05. Vivendi was up .3% to 29.54.
