Circuit City Stores (NYSE: CC) 10% LOWER; The company is withdrawing its previously issued guidance for the first half of fiscal year 2008

Intevac (Nasdaq: IVAC) 9.5% LOWER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.44 (including items vs. consensus of $0.38 – may not be comparable). Revenues were $76.4 million vs. $73.47 million consensus

Rochester Medical (Nasdaq: ROCM) 8% LOWER; reports record sales of $8,347,000 for the current quarter compared to $4,874,000 for the second quarter of last year. It also reported net income of $1,044,000 or $.08 per diluted share compared to a net loss of $(244,000) or $(.02) per diluted share for the second quarter of last year.

Chemed (NYSE: CHE) 7% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.73, may not be comparable to consensus of $0.55. Revenues were $270 million vs. $267.27 million consensus. Sees FY EPS between $2.85 to $3.05 vs. consensus of $2.47 – may not be comparable. Chemed’s Board of Directors has increased this stock repurchase authorization an additional $150 million, resulting in $163.6 million authorized for future Chemed stock repurchase.

Wright Medical (Nasdaq: WMGI) 5% HIGHER; reports Q1 EPS of $0.09, in-line with estimates.(0.09) Revenues were $94.3 million vs. $92.32 million consensus. Sees Q2 revenues between $96-98 million vs. $95.7 million consensus. Sees Q2 EPS between $0.15-0.17. Sees FY revenues between $376-384 million vs. prior guidance of $366-374 million vs. consensus of $370.4 million. Sees FY EPS between $0.73-0.78 vs prior giudance of $0.71-0.76.

Vulcan Materials Co. (NYSE: VMC) 4% LOWER; Merger partner Florida Rock Industries (NYSE: FRK) reports Q2 EPS of $0.39, 25 cents worse than estimates.(0.64) Revenues were $249.4 million vs. $288.35 million consensus.

Matrix Service Co. (Nasdaq: MTRX) 3.6% HIGHR; will replace John H. Harland Co. (NYSE: JH) in the S&P SmallCap 600 after the close of trading on Tuesday, May 1.

Standard Micro (Nasdaq: SMSC) 2% LOWER; reports Q4 EPS of $0.44, 7 cents better than estimates.(0.37) Revenues were $89.7 million vs. $91.87 million consensus. Sees Q1 EPS between $0.25-0.27. Sees Q1 revenues of $81 million vs. consensus of $99.2 million.
