Snap, JD.com Slide into Tuesday’s 52-Week Low Club

September 4, 2018: Here are four stocks trading with heavy volume among 113 equities making new 52-week lows in Tuesday’s session. On the NYSE decliners led advancers by about 1.96 to 1, and on the Nasdaq, decliners led advancers by about 1.52 to 1.

JD.com Inc. (NASDAQ: JD) traded down about 7.2% Tuesday to post a new 52-week low of $29.06 after closing Friday at $31.30. The stock’s 52-week high is $50.68. Volume was about two and a half times the daily average of around 15.5 million shares. The company’s CEO was arrested and released over the weekend following a charge of sexual misconduct.

Ambev SA (NYSE: ABEV) dropped 6.9% Tuesday to set a new 52-week low of $4.33. Shares closed at $4.65 on Friday and the stock’s 52-week high is $7.43. Volume totaled around 35 million, less than 2% above the daily average. The company had no specific news, but investors these days are wary of investments in South America-focused stocks.

Snap Inc. (NYSE: SNAP) traded down about 4.3% Tuesday and posted a new 52-week low of $10.43 after closing Friday at $10.90. The stock’s 52-week high is $21.22. Volume was about equal to the daily average of around 21.5 million. The company had no specific news.

Itaú Unibanco Holding SA (NYSE: ITUB) traded down about 5% Tuesday to set a new 52-week low of $9.89 after closing at $10.42 on Friday. The stock’s 52-week high is $16.98. Volume was about 50% higher than the daily average of around 13.9 million. The Brazilian financial services company had no specific news, but South American stocks were not in favor today.
