Best Buy Promotes Merchandise Under $100 as Holiday Shopping Ends

It’s the day before the night before Christmas, and retailers continue to dream that shoppers are still stirring and not snug in their beds. For retailers, visions of sugar plums invariably involve shoppers.

Best Buy Co. Inc. (NYSE: BBY) is trying to wring out every last consumer dollar that it can, beginning a “stocking stuffer” promotion for a gift that costs less than $100. The store even has a $50 and under category. In the tech gizmo department, that’s considered the stocking stuffer price. Oranges are for pikers.

There’s no way the company can ship these items to customers, so if you’re really interested in these deals you’ll have to go to the store or order online for store pickup. If you can wait, however, most offer free delivery, just not in time for stuffing that Christmas stocking.

First up is an Insignia 32-inch LED 720p HDTV (model # NS-32D311NA17) for $99.99, a savings of $40 (29%) from the regular price of $139.99. If you want an open-box version you can save an additional $11. And if you don’t want the TV to stuff into someone’s Christmas stocking, you can get free standard shipping.

A Keurig K200 Brewer in black (model #20290) is selling for $89.99, a savings of $30 (25%) from the regular price. Again, to get it in time for Christmas you need to pick it up at a nearby store. Free two-day shipping will get the coffee maker to you after the holiday.

A Fitbit Flex 2 activity tracker in black (model #FB403BK) sells for $79.95, a savings of $20 (20%) off the regular price of $99.95. The tracker is available in a variety of colors, and if you don’t want it in time for Christmas, Best Buy is offering free two-day shipping.

An Amazon Fire 7-inch tablet with 8 GB of memory in black (model #B00TSUGXKE) is selling for $39.99, a savings of $10 (20%) from the regular $49.99 price. Other colors are available, and you can get free two-day shipping if you can wait until after the holiday.

A Google Chromecast in black (model #NC2-6A5) is selling for $25, a savings of $10 (29%) from the regular price of $35. For new subscribers, the device offers a free three-month subscription to HBO NOW. Free standard shipping if you’re not in a hurry.

Ho-ho-ho and Merry Christmas.
