By my count, 13 Wall Street analysts who were following Apple last year have left the beat.
Some have dropped the stock. Some have gone silent. Some have left the industry altogether.
A few names jump out at me from the spreadsheet below:
- Sherri Scribner, long-time Apple bear, left Deutsche Bank after 16 years to become Director of Strategic Development at Amphenol
- Kulbinder Garcha, more of a bull, left Credit Suisse after 15 years to work for the investment authority of Qatar.
- Pierre Ferragu, who made a splash in August with a market-low $165 price target and hasn’t been heard from since.
