Michael (Mike) Smith has over 40 years of progressive board of director/senior management and consulting experience in subsea oil and gas, defense, aerospace, automotive/heavy equipment and airplane/airport ground service and passenger loading bridge markets with emphasis on lean operating philosophies in ISO, QS and API environments.
These hands-on domestic and international management roles in companies like Weather-ford International, OceanWorks International, Oceaneering International, FMC Technologies, Inc. (now TechnipFMC), and the Dover Corporation, have been in green field start-up operations, business and operations consolidation, turn-around and on-going concerns in a variety of mission critical assembly, fabrication, metal forming, machining and capital goods manufacturing operations.
Mike holds an undergraduate degree in finance and economics, a Masters of Business Administration focused on International Business, as well as significant course work in Mechanical Engineering. Over the years, he has also participated in knowledge events offered by the International Institute for Management Development in Lausanne, Switzerland.
