The editors at Kelley Blue Book (KBB) have put together a list of the best lease, financing and purchase deals available for the month of October. There are six significant cash-back offers, one lease deal and three financing deals that stand out from the crowd.

Car sales have been strong this summer and have lifted the number of used cars available for sale. Not only does that drive down prices for used cars, but it can also force carmakers and dealers to reduce the price of new cars. Incentives may increase to bring in more buyers, but a lot depends on the strength of demand for new cars. If car buyers have been postponing a new car purchase and now want to buy one with all the latest features, no number of used cars is likely to make them change their minds.

On to the deals. KBB’s top deal for the month is a cash-back offer from Nissan for a 2014 Maxima S. The car carries an MSRP of $32,100 and Nissan is offering $4,500 in a cash-back promotion.

KBB rates the month’s only lease deal as the second-best offer. General Motors Co. (NYSE: GM) is offering a 36-month lease on a 2014 Cadillac CTS coupe for a cash payment of $3,029 and monthly payments of $299. The MSRP on the car is $40,420.

Ford Motor Co. (NYSE: F) makes the fourth-best offer for the month, according to KBB. A Ford Expedition XLT with an MSRP of $43,170 is available with a cash-back offer of $6,000.

Chrysler Group is selling a Chrysler 300 with an MSRP of $31,990 with a cash-back deal for $4,250.

Hyundai is offering a Genesis Sedan on a financing deal for 2.9% plus $2,500 cash back. The car’s MSRP is $36,120.

Volkswagen has the last of October’s top financing deals. The German manufacturer is offering a Golf with an MSRP of $20,815 at 0% with no cash back.

Chrysler is also offering a 2014 Dodge Challenger SXT with a sticker price of $27,490 with a cash-back deal of $3,500.

Nissan also promises $3,500 cash back for buyers of its 2014 Murano S AWD crossover. The vehicle’s MSRP is $31,180.

The last of the deals is from Ford, which offers a 2014 Mustang V6 coupe with an MSRP of $23,335 with $3,000 cash back.
