Asia Markets 1/25/2007 Honda, Toyota Down

Markets in Asia were off modestly.

The Nikkei fell .3% to 17,458. Bridgestone was down 2.1% to 2585. Canon was down 1.2% to 6530. Fuji Film was down .2% to 4780. Hitachi was down 1.2% to 830. Honda was down 2% to 4790. NEC was up 1.6% to 619. NTT was down 1% to 623000. Sharp was up .5% to 2030. Softbank was down .6% to 2540. Sony was up 1.6% to 5720. Toshiba was down .5% to 806. Toyota was down 1.7% to 8010. Yahoo Japan was up 1% to 48250.

The Hang Seng fell .7% to 20,670. Cathay Pacific was flat at 20.35. China Mobile was down 1.7% to 76.15. China Netcom was up 1.3% to 19.62. China Unicom was up 1.1% to 10.86. HSBC was up .4% to 144.1. PCCW was up .4% to 4.68.

The KOSPI was down .1% to 1,382.

The Straits Times was down 1.1% to 3,116.

The Shanghai Composite was down 4% to 2,857.
