Markets in Europe were narrowly mixed at 6.15 AM New York time.

The FTSE was down .2% to 6,400. Barclays was up .1%to 785.5. BP was down .8% to 526.5. BT was down .7% to 310. GlaxoSmithKline was down .8% to 1476. Prudential was down .3% to 712. Reuters was down .2% to 429.25. Unilever was down .8% to 1395. Vodafone was down 1.3% to 148.5.

The DAXX was flat at 6,984. Bayer was up .2% to 44.71. DaimlerChrysler was down 1.7% to 54.54. DeutscheBank was up .4% to 107.36. Deutsche Telekom was down .8% to 13.46. SAP was up .3% to 35.69. Siemens was up .1% to 64.29.

The CAC 40 was up .2% to 5,723. Alcatel-Lucent was up .6% to 10.02. AXA was up 1.1% to 33.28. France Telecom was down 1.4% to 21.16. ST Micro was down .6% to 14.64. Vivendi was down .8% TO 30.73.
