Markets in Europe are off slightly at 6.25 AM New York time.

The FTSE is down a fraction at 6,292. Barclays is up 1% to 733.5. BP is up 1.9% to 554. BT is down .2% to 305.75. GSK is down .4% to 1379. Prudential is up .3% to 723, Reuters is down .6% to 458.5. Unilever is down .8% to 1491. Vodafone is up .2% to 141.

The DAXX is off ,4% to 6,834. Bayer is up .8% to 46.47. Daimler is up .3% to 62.11. Deutsche Bank is down .2% to 98.78. Deutsche Telekom is down .9% to 12.37. SAP is down 1% to 33.54. Siemens is off 1.4% to 80.12.

The CAC 40 is down .3% to 5,571. Alcatel-Lucent is up 1.4% to 8.97. AXA is down .9% to 31.57. France Telecom is down .7% to 19.58. ST Micro is down .8% to 14.45. Vivendi is down .3% to 30.14.
