Asia Markets 4/2/2007 Shanghai Up 2.2%

Stocks: (CAJ)(FUJ)(HIT)(HMC)(NIPNY)(NTT)(DCM)(SNE)(TM)(CHL)(CHU)(CN)(PCW)(HBC)

Markets in Asia were mixed with Tokyo down and Shanghai Up.

The Nikkei fell 1.5% to 17,028. Bridgestone was down .8% to 2335. Canon was down 1.9% to 6230. Fuji Film was down .4% to 4800. Hitachi was down 1.6% to 899. Honda was down 1.5% to 4050. NEC was down .2% to 631. NTT was off 1.1% to 616000. Docomo was off .5% to 217000. Sharp was down 1.5% to 2235. Softbank was down 2% to 2970. Sony as off 2.2% to 5860. Toshiba was flat at 787. Toyota was down 1.6% to 7430. Yahoo Japan was up 1% to 41,050.

The Hang Seng was down .6% to 19,683. Cathay Pacific was down 1.4% to 19.6. China Mobile was down 1.1% to 70.25. China Netcom was down 2.5% to 19.9. China Unicom was down .7% to 11.18. HSBC was up .4% to 138.3. PCCW was up .9% to 4.73.

The KOSPI was up .5% to 1,460.

The Straits Times was up .3% to 3,239.

The Shanghai Composite was up 2.2% to 3,253.
