(ABN) ABN AMRO gets a higher bid of roughly $98 Billion (13% higher than Barclays) from a group led by Royal Bank of Scotland.
(ABC) Amerisource Bergen raised guidance after earnings.
(AMZN) Amazon.com traded up more than 10% after beating earnings and solid guidance.
(ASH) Ashland $0.77 EPS vs $0.84e; unsure if comparable because net after discontinued operations was $0.49e.
(BA) Boeing $1.13 EPS vs. $1.02 Estimate; $262 Billion backlog; reaffirmed 2007-2008 guidance.
(CL) Colgate names its COO as CEO.
(DRI) Darden Restaurants Inc. would be a good private equity target according to Cramer.
(FCX) Freeport-McMoRan $2.02 EPS vs $2.09e; insure of comparable because of Phelps Dodge acquisition completing at end of quarter.
(GD) General Dynamics $1.07 EPS vs $1.05e.
(GLW) Corning $0.28 EPS ($0.20 after special items) vs $0.26e; guides next quarter to $0.30-0.33 EPS vs $0.30 est; stock up 3%.
(GSK) GlaxoSmithKline reported flat profits, partially hurt by weaker dollar sales.
(HCR) Manor Care $0.39 EPS vs $0.30e.
(KTO) K2 being acquired by Jarden (JAH) for roughly $15.50 total: will pay $10.85 per share and will pay 0.1086 JAH shares per KTO share.
(PEP) PepsiCo $0.65 EPS vs $0.61e; revenues $7.35 Billion vs. $7.18B(e).
(RTN) Raytheon $0.69 EPS vs $0.63; 2.85-3.00 vs $3.01e.
(SUNW) Sun Microsystems down 6% after $0.01 EPS vs $0.01e; but revenues tad light at $3.28 B vs $3.42B(e); looking for 15-18% revenue growth in Q4, short of the 22% expected rise.
(SRZ) Sunrise names new CFO after prior CFO Bradley was put on leave after broken rules on document retention.
(TFSM) 24/7 Real Media may be in talks with WPP Group in London over a $600 million acquisition after the Google-DoubleClick deal.
(TRB) Tribune launches a $34 share buyback in partial tender.
