Homebuilder DR Horton Inc. (NYSE: DHI) posted EPS of $0.09 this morning, beating the consensus estimate of $0.04 and smashing an EPS loss of -$0.06 in the same period last year.

The company’s results included double-digit percentage gains for the quarter in new orders, closings, and order backlog. Analysts and investors remain cautious, however, because last year’s results were so awful that anything is better than that.
