Markets in Europe are narrowly mixed at 6.10 AM New York time.

The FTSE is down .2% to 6,370. Barclays is up .1% to 783. BP is up 1.2% to 527.5. BT is down .2% to 304.75. GlaxoSmithKline is up .3% to 1445. Prudential is down 1.2% to 696. Reuters (RTR) is down .3% to 429.25. Unilver is up .7% to 1386. Vodafone is down .7% to 142.25.

The DAXX is up a fraction to 6,975. Bayer is up .2% to 44.61. DaimlerChrysler is down .5% to 53.01. DeutscheBank is down .2% to 105.83. Deutsche Telekom is up .7% to 13.54. SAP is down .4% to 34.98. Siemens is down .8% to 84.54.

The CAC 40 is down .1% to 5,700. Alcatel-Lucent is up 2.5% to 10.08. AXA is up .1% to 33.71. France Telecom is down .7% to 20.93. STMicro is up 2.3% to 15.06. Vivendi is down .2% to 30.45.
