6 Key Tech and Media Companies Reporting Thursday

[cnxvideo id=”508884″ placement=”ros”]The initial wave of tech companies reporting earnings was solid, which set an optimistic tone for this week, when the markets have posted new highs. Disney, Facebook, Amazon and Apple each played a role in the setting the stage for this week. As we have said before, the tech sector is usually a leading indicator for the markets, and as the companies push higher so should the markets. Note that some of the companies below are media companies and not purely technology companies.

24/7 Wall St. has put together a preview of some of the larger companies in the tech and media sectors reporting their quarterly results on Thursday. We have included the consensus earnings estimates from Thomson Reuters and the stock price and trading history, as well as added some additional color on each.

Separately, we have also compiled a preview of other major companies reporting on Thursday as well.

Twitter Inc. (NYSE: TWTR) is scheduled to report its fourth-quarter earnings on Thursday morning. The consensus estimates call for earnings per share (EPS) of $0.12 and $740.14 million in revenue. Twitter shares were last seen trading at $18.57. The consensus price target is $16.32, and the 52-week trading range is $13.73 to $25.25.

In the afternoon, Zynga Inc. (NASDAQ: ZNGA) is set to post its first-quarter results, and the consensus estimates call for EPS of $0.01 and $192.65 million in revenue. Shares were trading at $2.52 on Wednesday, in a 52-week range of $1.78 to $3.08. The consensus price target is $3.27.

After the close, Yelp Inc. (NYSE: YELP) also is expected to report. It has consensus estimates $0.03 in EPS on $194.49 million in revenue. Shares were trading at $41.47 on Wednesday. The consensus price target is $41.44, and the 52-week range is $14.53 to $43.41.

Pandora Media Inc. (NYSE: P) will post its quarterly results late Thursday too. Consensus estimates call for a net loss of $0.21 per share and revenue of $374.17 million. Shares were trading at $12.95 on Wednesday, in a 52-week range of $7.10 to $14.98. The consensus price target is only $14.59.

Fiscal fourth-quarter results from NVIDIA Corp. (NASDAQ: NVDA) are due in the afternoon. The consensus estimates are $0.83 in EPS and $2.11 billion in revenue. Shares were trading at $117.79 on Wednesday. The consensus price target is $103.50, and the 52-week range is $24.75 to $120.92.

And Activision Blizzard Inc. (NASDAQ: ATVI) is set to share its fourth-quarter results in the afternoon as well, and the consensus estimates call for EPS of $0.73 and $2.35 billion in revenue. Shares were trading at $39.91 on Wednesday, in a 52-week range of $26.49 to $45.55. The consensus price target is $48.10.
