24/7 Wall St. has put together a preview of some of the major retailers that will be reporting their quarterly earnings in the coming week. We are just entering into earnings season in which most major retailers will report. We have included the consensus earnings estimates from Thomson Reuters and the stock price and trading history, as well as added some additional color on each.

Be advised that the earnings and revenue estimates may change ahead of the formal reports, and some companies may change reporting dates as well.

Macy’s Inc. (NYSE: M) will share its most recent quarterly results on Tuesday. The consensus estimates call for earnings per share (EPS) of $1.88 and $8.83 billion in revenue. This company’s stores and websites sell a range of merchandise, including apparel and accessories for men, women and children. Shares were changing hands at $40.23 at the close on Friday, in a 52-week trading range of $34.05 to $73.61. The stock has a consensus analyst price target of $43.40.

Home Depot Inc. (NYSE: HD) is scheduled to reveal its fiscal fourth-quarter results on Tuesday. The consensus estimates call for $1.10 in EPS, as well as $20.38 billion in revenue. This company operates stores that sell various building materials, home improvement products and lawn and garden products, as well as provides installation, home maintenance and professional service programs to do-it-yourself, do-it-for-me and professional customers. Shares ended last week at $121.69. The consensus price target is $141.05. The stock has a 52-week trading range of $92.17 to $135.47.

Lowe’s Companies Inc. (NYSE: LOW) is expected to report its fiscal fourth-quarter results on Wednesday. The analysts’ consensus estimates call for EPS of $0.59 and $13.07 billion in revenue. The company offers products for maintenance, repair, remodeling and home decorating. It provides home improvement products under the categories of kitchens and appliances; lumber and building materials; tools and hardware; and more. Shares were trading at $68.52 on Friday’s close. The consensus price target is $83.62, and the stock has a 52-week trading range of $62.62 to $78.13.

Target Corp. (NYSE: TGT) is set to report its fiscal fourth-quarter results on Wednesday. The consensus estimates call for EPS of $1.54 and $21.84 billion in revenue. This company operates stores that offer household essentials, including pharmacy, beauty, personal care, apparel for women and men, as well as many other products. Shares were trading at $72.32 on Friday’s close. The consensus price target is $82.40, and the stock has a 52-week trading range of $66.46 to $85.81.

Best Buy Co. Inc. (NYSE: BBY) will share its most recent quarterly results on Wednesday. The consensus estimates call for EPS of $1.40 and $13.61 billion in revenue. This company operates as a retailer of technology products, services and solutions in the U.S. and internationally. Its stores offer consumer electronics, consisting primarily of television and home theaters, digital cameras and many more. Shares were changing hands at $29.95 at the close on Friday, in a 52-week range of $25.31 to $42.00. The stock has a consensus analyst target of $34.94.

J.C. Penney Co. Inc. (NYSE: JCP) is expected to report its fiscal fourth-quarter results on Friday. The consensus analyst estimates call for EPS of $0.23 on revenue of $3.99 billion. This company sells merchandise through department stores in the United States. It sells family apparel and footwear, accessories, fine jewelry, beauty products and home furnishings, as well as provides various services. Shares closed at $7.32 on Friday. The consensus price target is $9.61. The 52-week trading range is $6.00 to $10.09.
